The study assesses the impact of participative leadership style on employee performance. The mediating role of job satisfaction. A survey design was adopted, with a quantitative approach. A sample of 90 was used. The data were analysed using SPSS (v.25).It was found that job satisfaction has a positive mediating effect on the relationship between participative leadership style and employee performance. Hence, the study recommends that if managers should listen more, involve employees in decision making, and understand the employees’ diversity and perspective, they will apparently have inner satisfaction and happiness at the place of work. This will enhance job performance. Also, the regression analysis finds that, further research should be conducted to fill the gap in the relationship between participative leadership style and employee performance. The mediating role of job satisfaction since not variables have been captured in this study.
